Forward Deployed Robotics Engineer

About the Company

Monumental is automating on-site construction with robotics and software. Our mission is to make construction software-defined and autonomous, creating a future where beautiful, bespoke buildings are constructed with minimal labour.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of deployments end-to-end, solving unknown problems in the field
• Identify site topology issues, niche project details, or edge cases and implement code-based solutions
• Debug software and hardware failures on-site and develop structural fixes
• Act as a product manager by identifying new projects and opportunities from site observations
• Serve as a company ambassador on construction sites

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience solving complex engineering problems with code
• Excellent debugging and problem decomposition skills
• Outcome-driven mentality with a focus on solving the most important problems
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and a natural sense of urgency
• Willingness to work onsite at construction sites and get hands-on with hardware
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfort with basic mathematics such as linear algebra
• Ability to reason geometrically
• British passport
