Forward Deployed Research Engineer

About the Company

Composio is building infrastructure that allows agents to communicate with the tools you use for work including Github, Gmail, Notion, Salesforce, etc. We are a small team of engineers wrangling problems from context to search, helping provide the most capable bridge between your agents and your tools.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise accounts end to end including discovery, spec, implementation, QA, and release
• Ship production code in the toolkit monorepo and customer SDKs, including custom and composite tools
• Turn large enterprise APIs into agent-usable tool surfaces and build evals to prove model accuracy
• QA toolkits and build repeatable automated harnesses
• Run weekly customer syncs to manage summaries, ETAs, and escalations
• Operate per-customer tool-patching as a self-service function

Requirements

• Experience in applied integration engineering and shipping production code
• Deep knowledge of enterprise APIs and authentication (OAuth 2.0, consent models, scope design)
• Proven track record of technical ownership for enterprise accounts
• AI native experience building with and for language models
• Strong ability to make and defend architectural decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex ideas under deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Years of Python in production (TypeScript is a plus)
• Background in API platforms, iPaaS, or integration-heavy environments
• Prior experience in Forward Deployed Engineering or Solutions Architecture roles
• Experience with MCP servers, tool-use evals, or agent-tooling research
