Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead implementations from kickoff to production for strategic enterprise customers
• Embed with customer teams to design and build workbooks, data apps, and automated workflows
• Run live technical sessions, including discovery and troubleshooting with business users and data engineers
• Monitor query performance, data accuracy, and governance issues in production
• Escalate technical blockers and customer requests to internal product and engineering teams
• Create reusable assets such as implementation guides and solution templates
• Travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time

Requirements

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Forward Deployed, Solutions Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Professional Services)
• Strong SQL and hands-on data modeling skills
• Direct experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Proven track record of building and deploying production analytics or data applications
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sigma or comparable platforms like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
• ETL/transformation experience with tools like dbt, Fivetran, or Matillion
• Proficiency in Python for building integrations and APIs
• Experience with enterprise data governance and security requirements
