Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical delivery outcomes and serve as the single point of accountability for technical execution
• Coordinate work across data architects, data engineering teams, and contractors
• Define detailed data modeling specifications, including KPI formulas and field requirements
• Evaluate deliverables from contractors and internal teams against requirements
• Document technical requirements, decisions, and rationale
• Brief and manage contractors on technical specifications and work division
• Travel up to 40% to client sites and factory floors for technical coordination

Requirements

• Strong technical background coordinating complex technical delivery
• Experience with modern data technologies and data engineering principles
• Ability to assess technical deliverables and identify quality gaps
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with batch or streaming data processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments or 6 sigma projects
• Background in data science or analytics in manufacturing contexts
• Experience managing or coordinating contractor teams
• Familiarity with Azure-based data platforms and cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency with Python, Java, Git, Pandas, R, SQL, or NoSQL
