Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own customer deployments end-to-end, from technical design and build to launch and initial usage
• Execute data engineering tasks including mapping customer data, building pipelines, and normalizing messy schemas across various institutional systems
• Build backend services, APIs, and integrations that connect customer systems to AI agents
• Develop customer-facing frontend interfaces and dashboards using React
• Configure and customize AI agents and workflows, including prompt tuning and tool definition
• Lead customer go-live sessions, including cutover plans, dry runs, and real-time troubleshooting
• Provide customer training and create runbooks to ensure successful product adoption
• Feed insights back to the platform team to improve core product scalability

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience building full-stack production systems
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, React, Node, and SQL
• Experience with data engineering and building robust data pipelines
• Ability to work in-person 5 days a week in downtown San Francisco
• Strong ability to translate complex institutional pain points into working software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with messy, fragmented, or legacy institutional data
• AI-native mindset with experience orchestrating AI agents to add leverage
• Ability to move at a high pace and ship working versions of software quickly
