Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade code and manage end-to-end data pipeline deployments directly within live customer environments.
• Act as the technical face of the Pricing & Promotions team for US retailers, engaging with stakeholders from the C-suite to shop floor staff.
• Lead requirements gathering by workshoping and challenging customer needs to ensure the right solutions are built.
• Design and ship scalable data pipelines and integrations that handle large-scale, customer-specific datasets in cloud environments.
• Own technical outcomes, including KPI delivery, solution performance, and SLAs.
• Develop prototypes in close collaboration with customers and implement successful patterns into the core product.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and building scalable data pipelines for large-scale production data processing.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, observability, and hypothesis-driven development.
• Experience building integrations for downstream or customer-facing systems.
• Solid working knowledge of cloud platforms and modern data stacks.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical work into measurable financial impact for non-technical audiences.
• Direct experience working with US enterprise or mid-market customers in a technical or solutions capacity.
• Must be based in the US (preferably East Coast timezone) and available for regular domestic travel to customer sites.
• Must have valid US work authorization (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in grocery retail, pricing, promotions, or supply chain environments.
• Prior exposure to demand forecasting or ML-based pricing and promotions systems.
