Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Company

Mithrl is building the world’s first commercially available AI Co-Scientist. It is a discovery engine that transforms messy biological data into insights in minutes, helping medicines reach patients faster.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Mithrl into customer private clouds including AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Work with customer IT and security teams to configure networking, IAM, private subnets, and secure VPCs
• Build integrations between customer systems and Mithrl APIs for data ingestion and workflow automation
• Validate deployed environments through functional, performance, and scientific smoke tests
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and connectivity issues in customer environments
• Implement automation and internal tools to make deployments faster and more repeatable
• Serve as a technical advisor to customers during onboarding and early product adoption
• Collaborate with platform engineering, DevOps, and ML teams to drive improvements

Requirements

• Strong experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience configuring VPCs, IAM, networking, and secure infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python or a similar language
• Experience with container technologies like Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes
• Ability to diagnose issues involving networking, storage, compute, and configuration
• Experience working directly with external stakeholders in technical environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating ML or data-heavy platforms into enterprise environments
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with secure data environments or biotech customers
• Familiarity with scientific computing or R&D workflow tools
• Experience writing automation scripts or lightweight backend services
