Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical architect for strategic client relationships
• Embed with lighthouse customers to deploy, customize, and extend the Kepler platform
• Design integrations with client research stacks (Bloomberg, CapIQ, etc.)
• Build vertical applications on top of the core platform
• Translate field insights into core product features
• Rotate between forward-deployed work and core platform development

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software
• Proven track record of deploying complex systems in enterprise environments
• Client-facing technical experience (Forward Deployed, Solutions, or similar)
• Full-stack proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and API development
• Experience handling enterprise integrations (SSO/SCIM, RBAC, database integrations)
• Ability to present to C-level executives and technical teams
• Willingness to travel 30-50% for on-site client engagements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-stakes industries like finance
• Deep understanding of data provenance and deterministic computation
