Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Company

Kastle is building an AI operating system for consumer lending, starting with mortgage. Backed by Y Combinator and Commerce Ventures, Kastle helps large mortgage lenders scale contact center and compliance operations using AI-driven voice agents.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and launch AI agents on Kastle’s platform to handle real borrower workflows
• Write production-grade backend and full-stack code (Python, Java, TypeScript) to integrate with loan servicing systems, data sources, and telephony platforms
• Own the full agent development life cycle including prototyping, CI/CD, and monitoring
• Scope ambiguous customer asks and iterate into stable deployments
• Act as the technical face of Kastle in key accounts to build trust and impact
• Feed customer learnings back into the core product to influence the roadmap

Requirements

• At least 1 year of engineering experience
• At least 1 year of customer-facing experience
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar
• Experience building APIs and backend systems
• Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
• Ability to own projects end-to-end with limited guidance

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer-facing engineering role (Forward Deployed, Solutions Engineer, etc.)
