Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of Reducto into customer environments including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout
• Partner with enterprise IT, security, and platform teams to design deployment strategies tailored to their constraints
• Understand hardware powering in-house ML models to ensure successful deployment on customer infrastructure
• Build monitoring, telemetry, and phone-home patterns for visibility into customer-controlled environments
• Debug and resolve customer-specific infrastructure issues like K8s misconfigurations and cloud IAM edge cases
• Own incident response for customer deployments
• Codify successful deployments into repeatable patterns, runbooks, and automation

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating production infrastructure
• Experience deploying software into environments you do not fully control
• Proficiency in Python or similar languages
• Expertise in cloud platforms, container orchestration (Kubernetes), networking, and storage technologies
• Strong communication skills for interacting with external engineering teams
• Ability to build custom tools for diagnosis and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying software into regulated environments (finance, healthcare, legal, insurance)
• Experience with Replicated/KOTS, Helm, or enterprise distribution tooling
• Experience with GPU infrastructure, model serving, or AI/ML workload deployment
• Prior experience at an early-stage, high-growth company
