Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers end to end, from first whiteboard session to production deployment
• Turn platform primitives into customer-ready solutions including live demos, POCs, and production systems
• Design and build data and AI solutions over structured and unstructured data, including semantic layers and GenAI applications
• Present technical work to stakeholders ranging from staff engineers to the C-suite
• Feed field insights directly into Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, software engineering, solutions engineering, or forward deployed engineering
• Deep data engineering background with experience building and operating data pipelines and ingestion systems at scale
• Strong knowledge of modern data architectures such as lakehouse and open table formats like Iceberg
• Experience with semantic layers, data modeling, data cataloging, or knowledge graphs
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, including LLM applications, agents, RAG, and text-to-SQL
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build fast with limited guidance
