Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Embed with delivery teams and internal functions to identify high-leverage AI opportunities within real workflows.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into concrete agentic solutions, including document processing, research, and operational automations.
• Rapidly design, build, and demo working prototypes using modern agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen).
• Build and ship internal tools and agents that measurably accelerate Elixirr's delivery capabilities.
• Partner with production engineering teams to ensure smooth handovers of successful prototypes for enterprise-grade industrialization.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to frame technical trade-offs and ensure solutions align with business economics and adoption paths.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer shipping working systems.
• Recent hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic applications.
• Strong full-stack or backend engineering fundamentals (Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or similar).
• Practical fluency with modern LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG, tool use, and observability tooling.
• Cloud-native experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Proven track record of working closely with users or customers to solve problems (e.g., consulting, solutions engineering, or startup environments).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand revenue, cost, and workflow decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

• Founding or early-stage engineer experience at a startup.
• Experience working within regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or energy.
• Open-source contributions or public presence regarding agentic systems and AI.
