Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Rapidly design, build, and deliver end-to-end prototypes, demos, and proofs-of-concept
• Partner with sales and business development teams to identify customer needs and tailor prototypes
• Represent the company in executive-level meetings (SVP/C-level)
• Act as a forward-deployed engineer embedded in customer environments to surface insights
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to shape product direction
• Provide technical guidance on APIs, integrations, cloud deployments, and AI/LLM applications
• Establish repeatable frameworks and playbooks for pre-sales prototyping

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of relevant post-college work experience
• Strong technical hacking and prototyping ability in Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Proficiency building solutions across modern stacks (APIs, data pipelines, cloud, front-end)
• Comfort working with AI/LLM-based tools and modern developer ecosystems
• Excellent customer-facing skills including discovery and business development
• Exceptional executive presence and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
• Ability and interest to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical pre-sales, forward-deployment, or field engineering
• Background in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or early-stage startups
• Ability to balance short-term prototyping with long-term scalability
• Strong storytelling skills for crafting narratives around demos
