Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead impactful customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems and reference architectures
• Design and build custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations
• Guide strategic customers through the implementation of transformational big data and AI projects
• Own architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure and scalable
• Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to provide product feedback and resolve issues
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact
• Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to scale impact

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs
• Experience with technical project delivery, including managing scope and timelines
• Ability to travel to customers approximately 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks Certification
• Experience working with Emerging Enterprise and Digital Native businesses
