Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship from first discovery call through contract close
• Lead technical discovery with prospects and customers
• Collaborate with data science teams to translate business problems into working prototypes
• Design and build pipelines across fragmented travel, financial, and expense systems
• Reconcile, validate, and shape messy, low-quality enterprise data
• Apply AI for enrichment, anomaly detection, forecasting, and automation
• Turn customer-specific solutions into scalable product capabilities
• Contribute directly to the full-stack production codebase

Requirements

• 5–8+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting
• Proven track record of delivering in ambiguous, high-ownership environments
• Experience contributing to production codebases
• Extensive experience wrangling messy enterprise data
• Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fintech or enterprise financial systems
• Demonstrated outcomes applying AI/ML to real operational data
• Prior experience in a forward-deployed, solutions, or founding-engineer capacity at a startup
• Exposure to corporate travel, expense, or procurement data
