Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Company

Artisan is a YC W24 company building autonomous AI employees. Unlike chatbots or copilots, Artisan's digital workers, like Ava, perform real jobs such as researching leads, managing outbound sequences, and handling objections. The company has raised $35M+ and is currently developing Ava 2.0.

Responsibilities

• Scope how Ava fits into customer GTM stacks, including replacements and integrations
• Engineer customer-specific features and integrations using a TypeScript full-stack codebase
• Manage end-to-end implementations and partner with customer success managers
• Travel to customer offices for discovery, scoping, and onboarding
• Join sales calls to provide technical credibility and assist in closing complex deals
• Provide customer insights to product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, or full-stack engineer
• Strong TypeScript experience across the stack (Node.js, React, or similar)
• Ability to lead technical conversations with RevOps and sales leaders
• Experience integrating with CRMs and sales tech (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, etc.)
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%)
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and ship solutions quickly
