Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions and sophisticated AI agents
• Design, iterate, and ship high-quality code and ML pipelines using Python and SQL
• Own the full lifecycle of AI implementation from prototype to production-grade deployment
• Serve as a strategic technical advisor to customer data science and engineering teams
• Implement data validation, SLA observability, and manage complex system interdependencies
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence the Snowflake AI platform roadmap

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building and tuning applications involving machine learning models or data-intensive systems
• Proficiency with data science libraries such as pandas, numpy, and Snowpark
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and performance tuning
• Advanced proficiency in Python for scripting and automating data workflows
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for technical stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building applications using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows
• Hands-on experience with the MLOps lifecycle in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and architecture
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect
• Startup experience
