Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to identify friction points in shipping reliable software
• Help customers integrate the Antithesis platform into their existing CI, reviews, and development workflows
• Debug complex issues found by the platform within customer environments
• Propose and prototype product improvements based on customer feedback and observed needs
• Collaborate with platform engineers to build new features, bug-finding capabilities, and agent skills
• Validate new prototypes with customers to ensure they solve real-world problems

Requirements

• Experience building or operating complex systems software where correctness is critical
• Understanding of how systems fail under concurrency, faults, and load
• Experience in customer-facing engineering roles
• Ability to read, instrument, and debug unfamiliar codebases
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work onsite five days a week in San Francisco (or DC/London) and travel occasionally to customer sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fuzzing, property-based testing, or chaos engineering
• Experience building fintech, databases, blockchain, event streaming, or cloud infrastructure
• Experience building internal tools for engineers
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
