Sila is a next-generation battery materials company on a mission to power the world’s transition to clean energy. They engineer and manufacture groundbreaking battery materials that increase energy density while reducing size and weight to accelerate the mass adoption of electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Engineering, Operations, Battery, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to build bespoke software solutions
• Design and implement responsive user interfaces using React and modern state management
• Architect Snowflake schemas and data models optimized for high-performance application interfaces
• Utilize dbt and Airflow to clean, transform, and move data into application-ready schemas
• Monitor user interaction patterns and application health using Datadog, Sumo Logic, and StatsD
• Deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns to build smart tools for querying technical and financial data

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS-in-JS or Tailwind
• Expert proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask)
• Advanced experience with Snowflake and dbt
• Experience with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and Kubernetes
• Practical experience building RAG architectures and integrating LLMs
• Experience deploying native iOS applications
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related engineering field
• 6+ years experience for MS or 8+ years for BS in professional software development
• Proven track record building complex internal tools for operations or engineering teams
