Fortinet Security Specialist Tier 2

Responsibilities

• Implement and migrate customer FortiNet security solutions and firewalls
• Configure and support integrations with third-party applications and systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer FortiNet implementations and active accounts
• Monitor security appliances and act upon security notifications
• Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving security problems
• Define access privileges, control structures, and resources
• Conduct periodic audits to determine security violations and inefficiencies
• Maintain technical knowledge and prepare performance reports for customers

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, configuring, and monitoring FortiNet/FortiGuard security appliances
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Advanced FortiNet security certifications
• Industry certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, Security+ CE, CISSP, or CASP
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, OSI model, and defense-in-depth
• Experience analyzing high volumes of logs and network data (Netflow, FPC)
• Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
• Proficiency in FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiPortal
• Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
• Business-level English proficiency (written and verbal)
