Formulator, Personal Care Products

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine formulations for soaps, syndet bars, shampoos, conditioners, and toothpaste products
• Perform stability, compatibility, viscosity, pH, and preservative efficacy testing
• Source and evaluate raw materials, including surfactants and active ingredients
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to scale formulas from laboratory batches to full production
• Troubleshoot formulation and processing issues related to separation, discoloration, and fragrance stability
• Ensure compliance with cosmetic and oral care regulatory requirements and labeling standards
• Maintain detailed formulation records, specifications, and testing documentation
• Conduct bench-top trials, pilot runs, and production scale-ups to ensure product consistency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related science field
• 2–5 years of formulation experience in the cosmetic or personal care industry
• Background in science, health, or nutrition
• Proficiency in MS Office and aptitude to learn new manufacturing software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing tasks
