Formulator, Functional Food & Chocolates

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine formulations for nutrition bars, healthy snacks, and functional chocolate products.
• Conduct bench-top trials, pilot runs, and production scale-ups to ensure product consistency and manufacturability.
• Research emerging ingredients, nutrition trends, and flavor profiles to support innovation.
• Create dispensing and blending recipes and review blending batch tickets.
• Evaluate ingredient functionality, allergen considerations, and compatibility within various product systems.
• Maintain testing documentation, product specifications, and manufacturing software systems.
• Collaborate with Production and QC to validate cleaning requirements and resolve raw material issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related science field.
• 2–5 years of formulations experience in the nutritional supplement industry or a similar field.
• Strong background in science, health, or nutrition.
• Proficient in MS Office with a strong aptitude for learning new software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
