Forming Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate forming equipment according to established work instructions and supervisor guidance
• Assist with basic machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers
• Load raw materials into machines and ensure proper material flow
• Monitor equipment during operation and notify supervisors of abnormalities or quality concerns
• Perform routine in-process inspections using gauges and measuring devices
• Identify and segregate non-conforming material
• Complete required production documentation, including scrap reporting and tracking sheets
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with 5S standards
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding requirements

Requirements

• 0–2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills and ability to use simple measuring tools
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods during a shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35–50 pounds as required
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment under direct supervision
