Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate power industrial trucks, including sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach, and pallet jacks, to transport materials.
• Perform shipping, receiving, storing, and order fulfillment tasks.
• Pick and stage orders for shipping and conduct quality checks on inbound and outbound shipments.
• Execute ERP system transactions and use handheld RF scanners to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Load, unload, stack, and stage products while complying with 5S safety and housekeeping regulations.
• Handle and control hazardous materials according to protocol.
• Maintain and evaluate equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting.
• Proficiency in operating industrial forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience using RF equipment for transporting, receiving, and loading functions.
• Certification in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
