Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to transport compost, mulch, and related materials
• Unload trucks while ensuring product accuracy and quality
• Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in the compost yard and loading zones
• Follow all company safety procedures as well as OSHA/MSHA regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production and customer service goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Previous forklift or heavy equipment operating experience preferred
• Experience in outdoor industrial, construction, landscaping, recycling, or aggregate environments is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
