Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload finished goods and trailers in accordance with customer orders and specifications
• Maintain accurate inventory control using First-In/First-Out (FIFO) methods to maximize product rotation
• Operate material handling equipment, including lift trucks, pallet jacks, and electric battery equipment, following OSHA and company policies
• Utilize automated warehouse management software, inventory scanning, and management tools
• Perform pre-operational equipment inspections and pre/post load trailer inspections
• Complete warehouse shipping and receiving records and documentation accurately
• Follow all established GMPs, Food Safety requirements, and occupational health and safety procedures
• Perform product rework, repack operations, and department housekeeping as required

Requirements

• Experience in warehouse operations and operating a lift truck preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck certification (training provided)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good math and computer software skills (SAP experience is a plus)
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
• Flexibility to work night shifts (Monday - Friday, 10pm – 6:30am) and weekends as needed
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check
