Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and power industrial equipment to manage receiving, picking, packing, stocking, or shipping of products
• Use RF scanners or paper-based picking methods to obtain and transfer products throughout the distribution center
• Perform shipping tasks including weighing, loading, and stacking materials onto trucks
• Execute receiving activities such as unloading, stacking, and storing products from various vendors
• Maintain a safe work environment by following housekeeping practices and reporting potential hazards or property damage
• Meet productivity standards related to assigned tasks and departmental goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 10 to 55 pounds repetitively
• Ability to stand and walk for 6 to 10 hours per day
• Basic computer skills and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
• Must be able to obtain certification through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
• Experience operating heavy industrial equipment
