Forklift Operator I

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and locate merchandise
• Complete and document required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment
• Unload inbound shipments and move products to designated storage locations
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, verifying correct quantity and product type
• Perform accurate order picking and use RF scanning devices for inventory management
• Assist with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts
• Maintain required documentation to support inventory accuracy and product security
• Report safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or pull between 10 lbs and 50 lbs without restrictions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10–12 hours per shift
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification
• Basic math competencies and basic Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months of forklift operation experience or experience using warehouse distribution equipment
