Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Unload materials and products from incoming trucks
• Load materials and products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production areas
• Inspect forklift to ensure safe operations
• Perform routine maintenance of forklift and other material handling equipment
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, palletizer, and other material handling equipment
• Load materials and product on outgoing trucks
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Warehousing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Follow food safety and quality plans to ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of forklift experience
• 2 years of warehousing experience
• Prior material handling experience
• Understanding of commercial food processing and food packaging equipment
