Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized equipment including forklifts and multi-directional equipment safely and accurately
• Stage product correctly in preparation for shipment
• Set up materials for crate-building as needed
• Provide production with product storage racks and material
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment
• Change propane tanks on forklifts and report maintenance needs
• Perform warehouse maintenance and housekeeping
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts using RF scanners
• Participate in plant safety programs and daily staff meetings

Requirements

• High School Graduate or G.E.D.
• 3-5 years of experience with propane fueled forklifts in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually and 87-100 lbs with assistance
• Good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to read and comprehend numbers
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment
