Forensic Scientist Data Review Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of transcriptionists and assist the supervisor to ensure production standards are met
• Operate GC/MS and LC-MS/MS instruments for confirmatory toxicology testing
• Perform initial review of analytical data and supervise instrument operation
• Prepare new controls, calibrators, and reagents for GC/MS and LC-MS/MS
• Supervise and prepare documentation for QC validation results
• Assist with the training of new employees
• Perform sample preparation and extraction for confirmatory testing
• Ensure the laboratory department meets all safety and security requirements, including donor confidentiality

Requirements

• BS degree in science or an equivalent related field
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation
• Familiarity with SAMHSA, CAP-FUDT, and other regulatory certification requirements
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and other laboratory computer systems
