Foreman - Machining (Medical Components)

Responsibilities

• Guide a group of skilled and unskilled workers and support the team leader
• Perform feasibility assessments for machining components
• Program and set up machining machines, specifically sliding head lathes
• Manage timely workflow of production orders in coordination with the team leader
• Select appropriate tools and cutting media for new projects
• Order tools, cutting media, and operating supplies
• Conduct instruction and training for personnel
• Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce production time
• Control completed orders for completeness and coordinate defect rectification with Quality Assurance
• Perform maintenance and repair measures

Requirements

• Completed training as a machining mechanic or comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of operating sliding head lathes including machine controls
• Several years of relevant professional experience in sliding head turning
• Profound knowledge in programming sliding head lathes
• Good written and spoken German skills
• High sense of responsibility, good communication skills, assertiveness, and flexibility
• Reliable and independent way of working with strong quality awareness
• Willingness to work in shifts (2-shift and 3-shift operations)
