Football Tracking Systems Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare tracking systems at the stadium and monitor them during matches
• Manage Electronic Performance Tracking Systems (EPTS) and Goal-Line Technology (GLT)
• Verify fiber connections and resolve connectivity issues in stadium rooms
• Connect EPTS rooms with GLT/VAR vans via designated networks
• Set up and test communication via Dante with onsite and remote technical staff
• Calibrate GLT systems and perform reliability tests before matches
• Perform colorimetry correction on Ultra Motion cameras to match broadcast standards
• Monitor system performance during live matches and intervene if problems arise
• Upload data to remote support and assist with equipment disassembly post-match

Requirements

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in high-pressure, live broadcast environments
• Strong time management skills
• Professional communication and stakeholder liaison skills
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and midweek fixtures

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical background in IT or Broadcast
• Interest in sports analysis and knowledge of football rules
• Experience with VT/replay technology or live technical production
• Willingness to travel across Italy and Europe
• Valid driving license
