Football Graduate Assistant: Defense

Responsibilities

• Assist in on-field coaching of players for both varsity and junior varsity games
• Support practice planning and implementation
• Assist with recruiting, scheduling, and travel management
• Support the academic progress and retention of student-athletes
• Engage in fundraising efforts and assist with camps, clinics, and alumni functions
• Maintain thorough knowledge of NCAA, CCIW, and NCC rules and regulations

Requirements

• Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College
• Experience playing or coaching football, or experience in athletic administration
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or eligibility to become certified)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in college athletics
