Football Film Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Film all football practices and home/away games from assigned angles, ensuring complete coverage from snap to whistle
• Upload, label, and organize game and practice footage to the team’s film platform in a timely manner
• Edit footage to produce cut-ups, highlight clips, and opponent scouting reels using designated video software
• Set up and operate the iPad-based replay system during games to provide real-time video access to coaches
• Maintain, transport, and set up all film equipment, including cameras, tripods, and tablets
• Perform pre-game and pre-practice equipment checks and report any malfunctions

Requirements

• Must be an enrolled University of La Verne student with a Federal Work Study (FWS) award
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of football rules, positions, and play structure
• Experience operating a video camera, DSLR, or mobile recording device
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Basic computer and iPad skills, including file management and cloud storage
• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with video editing software such as Hudl, Krossover, Adobe Premiere, or iMovie
• Prior experience working in a sports film or media role
• Familiarity with iPad-based replay systems (e.g., Coach’s Eye, XOS)
• Working knowledge of football offensive and defensive schemes
