About the role
Responsibilities
- Issue, fit, and collect football equipment including helmets, shoulder pads, practice gear, and uniforms
- Set up and break down equipment for all practices and games, including locker room and field preparation
- Inspect, clean, and maintain all equipment to ensure safety and readiness
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track the issuance and return of gear
- Manage laundry operations, including washing, drying, and organizing uniforms
- Assist with travel preparation and other special projects as directed by the coaching staff
Requirements
- Must be an enrolled University of La Verne student
- Must have a valid Federal Work Study (FWS) award
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of football rules, positions, and equipment
- Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing 25–50 lbs
- Availability to work 5–15 hours per week, including essential availability for weekend games and Saturday practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in equipment management or athletics support roles
- Familiarity with helmet and shoulder pad fitting standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced team or athletic environment
