Football Equipment Coordinator - Student Assistant I

Responsibilities

• Issue and collect football equipment, including practice gear and uniforms, to ensure all athletes are properly equipped
• Set up and break down field equipment for all practices and games, including locker room preparation
• Inspect, clean, sanitize, and maintain all equipment, such as helmets and shoulder pads
• Identify and report damaged or unsafe gear to supervisors and assist with repairs
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track the issuance and return of equipment
• Manage laundry operations, including washing, drying, and organizing uniforms for timely turnaround
• Assist with game day operations, travel preparation, and other special projects as directed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a currently enrolled University of La Verne student
• Must have a valid Federal Work Study (FWS) award
• Basic knowledge of football rules, positions, and equipment
• Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing between 25–50 lbs.
• Availability to work weekends, specifically Saturdays during the fall season
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in equipment management or athletic support roles
• Experience working within a team or athletic environment
• Knowledge of equipment safety and maintenance procedures
