About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate football sessions, including structured after-school clubs
- Deliver fun, engaging and inclusive sessions that promote player development, confidence and enjoyment
- Manage and coach teams during matches, festivals and tournaments
- Create a safe, positive and motivating learning environment for players of varying abilities
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff and fellow coaches
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, adhering to safeguarding policies
- Maintain accurate registers, attendance records and basic player development feedback
Requirements
- Experience coaching football in schools, grassroots or player development environments
- FA/UEFA qualified coach (minimum Level 1, ideally Level 2 or above)
- In-date FA First Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications
- Confidence delivering after-school football clubs in a school setting
- Reliability, organization, and enthusiasm
- Availability for afternoon, evening, and/or holiday work
