About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate football sessions, including structured after-school clubs
  • Deliver fun, engaging and inclusive sessions that promote player development, confidence and enjoyment
  • Manage and coach teams during matches, festivals and tournaments
  • Create a safe, positive and motivating learning environment for players of varying abilities
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff and fellow coaches
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, adhering to safeguarding policies
  • Maintain accurate registers, attendance records and basic player development feedback

Requirements

  • Experience coaching football in schools, grassroots or player development environments
  • FA/UEFA qualified coach (minimum Level 1, ideally Level 2 or above)
  • In-date FA First Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications
  • Confidence delivering after-school football clubs in a school setting
  • Reliability, organization, and enthusiasm
  • Availability for afternoon, evening, and/or holiday work
