Food Transporter/Dishwasher

Responsibilities

• Transport food to satellite centers and assist with kitchen clean-up and food preparation
• Wash and properly care for dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and food delivery equipment
• Adhere to approved menus and special dietary requirements
• Assist in the storage of food deliveries and related kitchen supplies
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with state and local health regulations
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality regarding clients and staff
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to support the mission of the Head Start program

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of six months of food service experience
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to satellite centers when needed
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of basic cooking, kitchen procedures, and sanitation

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ServSafe certification or equivalent food service safety and sanitation certification
