Food Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist Food Technologists in the creation of product samples and new product development
• Manage the shipment of sales samples from Fort Smith and Albertville facilities
• Generate shipping air bills, dry ice labels, and necessary product labels
• Coordinate with Distribution to ensure sample availability and inspect products prior to packing
• Track products and maintain detailed files of delivered packages
• Work with shipping agencies like FedEx to resolve delivery issues and reconcile invoices
• Support Food Technologists during laboratory, plant, and line trials
• Maintain laboratory organization and ensure equipment cleanliness on a daily basis

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel short distances routinely
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic mathematical skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using weight, volume, and currency)
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
• Ability to work in various environments, including offices, test kitchens, and plants with temperature fluctuations
