About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, serve, and store meals safely
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas, dishes, and equipment
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment
- Stock supplies, monitor inventory, and receive deliveries
- Follow recipes, portion control, and nutrition guidelines
- Maintain food safety logs and documentation
- Provide professional service and teamwork
- Report on safety or equipment issues
Requirements
- 1+ years of cooking experience
- Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and food temperature requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of food safety or sanitation training (e.g., ServSafe)
- Experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen
- PIC ServSafe Certification
- Active State Board of Education Rapback Enrollment
- Allergen Awareness Training or Certification
- CPR and First Aid Certification
