Food Service Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily dining facility operations and frontline staff, including cooks and food service workers
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and U.S. Air Force standards
• Execute meal service operations, ensuring timely preparation, serving, and replenishment of food
• Monitor and enforce cleanliness standards across kitchens, serving lines, and storage areas
• Oversee serving line operations to ensure efficient customer flow and service throughput
• Conduct pre- and post-meal inspections to ensure operational readiness
• Supervise equipment use and coordinate with maintenance for repairs and deficiencies
• Manage personnel accountability, including attendance and performance standards
• Support inventory control and manage supplies to ensure adequate availability

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• 3–5 years of experience in food service operations or dining facility environments
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a food service or hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to manage a multi-cultural workforce

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting U.S. military DFAC operations or contingency environments
• Familiarity with AFCAP or LOGCAP contract environments
• ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety certification
• Experience working in deployed or austere environments (CENTCOM AOR preferred)
