Food Service Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve pre-made meals for residents and staff in accordance with posted menus and portion sizes
• Maintain kitchen and food storage areas following all health and safety regulations
• Check in food deliveries and store items according to accepted safety codes
• Ensure food is stored and served at proper temperatures
• Maintain sanitary personal hygiene and clean/sanitize dishes, pans, and equipment
• Complete food service documentation, including temperature and late plate tracking sheets
• Manage kitchen supplies by identifying needs and submitting orders to appropriate staff
• Collaborate with team members to promote a supportive and pro-social program environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Washington State driver's license
• Valid food handlers card (must be obtained within 2 days of hire)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of cooking experience
• One year of experience working in a residential facility
• Training or coursework in human development, chemical dependency, or related disciplines
