About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation, cooking, and serving of food to students, staff, and visitors in an appetizing manner.
  • Ensure all food service activities meet department standards and federal guidelines.
  • Complete and submit register reports, cash deposits, HACCP information, and temperature/refrigeration logs.
  • Train and cross-train staff in kitchen, storeroom, and service procedures.
  • Manage inventory by estimating required ingredients, performing monthly checks, and verifying staff time and attendance records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of applicable commercial food service experience.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Ability to sustain walking and standing on hard, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level II Sanitation Certification.
  • CPR Certification.
  • ServeSafe Certification.
  • (Note: Certifications may be obtained within 6 months of appointment).
