Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality and Food Safety policies including FSMA, GMP, and SQF Standards
• Lead a team of QA/QC & Sanitation Technicians to ensure compliance
• Conduct annual reviews of Food Safety Plans, Training Material, and sanitation processes
• Collect and analyze food safety KPIs to improve products and processes
• Integrate employee safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits (OSHA compliance)
• Manage supplier compliance and documentation using TraceGains
• Support Quality Engineering with equipment validation and electronic QMS implementation
• Drive a culture of safety and quality through coaching and training

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related technical field
• 2–5 years of experience in QA, Continuous Improvement, or Process Engineering in food production or high-volume fulfillment
• FDA PCQI, HACCP, and GFSI (specifically SQF Practitioner) certifications
• Proficiency in Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
• Ability to spend 50% of time on the warehouse floor in cold environments (36°F and below)

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish fluency
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Experience with Supplier Management and OSHA safety management
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or Tableau
