Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality and Food Safety policies including FSMA, GMP, and Sanitation standards
• Lead the team of QA/QC & Sanitation Technicians to ensure compliance with SQF and company standards
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
• Manage supplier compliance and documentation using TraceGains and other platforms
• Provide support to the Quality Engineer for equipment validation and electronic QMS implementation
• Build awareness and training programs to drive a culture of safety and accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related technical field
• 2–5 years of experience in QA, Continuous Improvement, or Process Engineering in food production or high-volume fulfillment
• FDA PCQI, HACCP, and GFSI (specifically SQF Practitioner) certifications
• Proficiency in Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
• Ability to spend 50% of time on the warehouse floor in cold environments (36°F and below)

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish fluency
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Experience with Supplier Management, OSHA, and Safety Management
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or Tableau
