Food Safety Lead

Responsibilities

• Develop and support the site Food Safety strategy and management systems
• Apply HACCP, GMP, and food safety controls across manufacturing operations
• Support risk assessments for new products, materials, and processes
• Maintain audit readiness and support both internal and external audits
• Lead or support investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analysis activities
• Promote strong hygiene, cleaning, and food safety standards across the site
• Deliver food safety guidance and training to operational teams
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Projects to support safe and effective change

Requirements

• Experience working in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of food safety principles, HACCP, and GMP
• Experience working with Food Safety Management Systems and audits
• Degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to translate food safety requirements into practical operational controls
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
