Food & Beverage Steward

Responsibilities

• Operate large dish machines to load and unload dishware, glassware, and silverware
• Manually scrape plates and utensils and scrub large pots and pans at the pot sink
• Sort and restock pots, pans, dishes, and utensils into designated locations
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, coolers, freezers, and counters through sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing
• Empty trash and recyclables appropriately and maintain organized chemical storage areas
• Perform deep cleaning tasks according to schedule and monitor water cleanliness in sinks and machines
• Follow proper sanitation and HACCP procedures to ensure food safety

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting of pots, pans, and trays up to 50 lbs
• Ability to push and pull heavy carts
• Capability to work in loud environments and confined spaces
• Understanding of proper sanitation principles
• Strong listening skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a fast-paced environment, hotel, or banquet area
• Previous leadership experience
• Experience working with large kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language
• Full availability for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
