Requirements
Grade 12/Equivalent, NQF Level 4 Hospitality or Professional Cookery qualification, 1 year culinary experience in a brigaded kitchen, Microsoft Office proficiency
About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform various kitchen duties including meal preparation in line with brand standards
- Achieve financial controls by implementing cost containment measures
- Administer compliance with Food Health & Safety audit standards
- Adhere to Disaster Management and Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, presentation, and service for all guests
- Utilize operating equipment correctly according to user manuals
- Complete all operational and legislative training for standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- National Certificate (Vocational): Hospitality (NQF Level 4) or CATHSSETA Professional Cookery (NQF Level 4)
- Minimum 1 year of culinary experience in a formally brigaded kitchen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, food safety, and occupational health and safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher Certificate in Food & Beverage Operations Management (NQF Level 5)
- Culinary related Diploma
