About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all food and beverage service operations
- Support training and ongoing development of F&B team members
- Supervise, guide, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest service
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety
- Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, wastage, and stock control
- Drive upselling initiatives to meet revenue targets
- Conduct regular team briefings and participate in departmental meetings
- Ensure service areas are clean, organized, and prepared
- Act as duty manager when required and support events
- Maintain clear communication with kitchen and other departments
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within F&B or hospitality
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food hygiene, and licensing laws
- Ability to work a flexible roster including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
